Society of Editors NSW A society of freelance and inhouse editors working in a range of situations in book, journal and magazine publishing both print and electronic. Membership includes freelance and inhouse editors working on books, journals, magazines and corporate and public sector productions, as well as indexers, proofreaders, writers, translators, and others, among whom the common bond is a dedication to language and effective communication.The society meets every first Tuesday of the month at 6.30 p.m. for 7 p.m. at the Sydney Mechanics School of Arts, Level 1, 280 Pitt Street, Sydney between Park and Bathurst streets, near the Town Hall train station.
